Getting Started
What should I do after registering?
Click the verification link in your email — your account is activated and you go straight to the Dashboard. From there, click Start Flashcards and begin learning words from the first category.
How do flashcards work?
A flashcard shows one Arabic word at a time — Arabic on one side, the English and Bengali meanings on the other. After seeing the word you have two options:
  • Got it! — I have learned this one (Learned)
  • Need more practice — show it to me again
The system shows the harder words more often.
What is the difference between Learned and Mastered?
Learned — you have recognised the word at least once (+1 point).
Mastered — you have answered correctly three times in a row across different quizzes, so the word is firmly fixed in memory (+3 points).
What is Spaced Repetition?
It is a scientifically grounded learning method. Words you find difficult are shown more often, and the ones you know well are shown less often. This makes it far easier to remember words over the long term.
Levels & Progress
Which level do I start at?
Everyone starts at the Beginner level. At first you will only see words from the Ism & Harf (nouns and particles) category. Once every word in that category is mastered, the Fi’l (verbs) category unlocks automatically.
Can I learn Fi’l before finishing Ism & Harf?
No. The Fi’l category will not unlock until every word in Ism & Harf is mastered. This is deliberate — build a solid foundation step by step first, and the verbs come next.
What changes at the Fi’l stage?
Once Ism & Harf is complete you move to the Fi’l Stage automatically:
  • New Fi’l words are added to your flashcards
  • Quizzes draw on every word you have learned — both Ism & Harf and Fi’l
How do I reach the Intermediate level?
Once you have learned all 775 words at least once, you are promoted to the Intermediate level automatically. At this level:
  • You can practise words from every category together
  • Flashcards show a second Quranic example verse for each word
  • Quizzes may include Sentence Translation questions drawn from those new example verses
What happens if I reset my progress?
The Reset Progress option on your Dashboard clears all your progress and starts you again from the Beginner level:
  • The learning status of every word is cleared
  • Points and streak return to zero
  • Your certificates and membership stay intact
Quizzes
When should I take a quiz?
A quiz works best right after you have studied 10–15 words on flashcards. A good routine: 10–15 minutes of flashcards, then a short quiz.
What kinds of questions appear in a quiz?
There are seven question types:
  • See an Arabic word, choose the meaning
  • See the meaning, choose the Arabic word
  • Fill in the blank
  • Matching
  • True / False
  • Choose the correct translation of a complete verse (Sentence Translation)
  • Mixed Quiz — all of the above types together
What is the Sentence Translation quiz?
A complete Quranic verse is shown and you choose the correct translation from four options. It trains you to understand the meaning of a whole verse, not just individual words.
What happens on a right or wrong answer?
✅ Every correct answer earns +2 points and moves that word closer to Mastered.
❌ A wrong answer means the word will be shown to you more often until you know it well.
Why am I seeing a “Too Many Requests” error?
There are limits in place to prevent abuse — normal use almost never reaches them. If you see this message, wait 1–2 minutes and try again.
Points & Leaderboard
How do I earn points?
Action Points
Learned +1
Mastered +3
Correct quiz answer +2
Daily streak +5
How is the leaderboard ranking decided?
The leaderboard works on two levels:
  • Highest priority: anyone who has mastered all 775 words sits above everyone else — no matter how many points the others have. If several people have finished, whoever finished first ranks higher.
  • Everyone else: those who have not yet mastered every word are ranked by total points.
How often does the leaderboard update?
It usually updates automatically within 1–2 minutes of a quiz being finished or a new registration.
Streaks, Achievements & Certificates
What is the Daily Streak?
Log in and study every day and your streak grows, earning you +5 points a day. Miss a day and the streak starts again from zero.
Which achievements can I earn?
🌱 First 50 words  |  🌿 First 100 words
📝 First Quiz  |  🔥 7-Day Streak
⚡ 30-Day Streak  |  🏆 Top 10 Learner
👑 Vocabulary Master (all words mastered)
How do I get a certificate?
Master every published word and you earn the 100% Quranic Vocabulary Mastery Certificate. You can view and download it from the Certificate page on your Dashboard.
Can a certificate be verified?
Yes. Every certificate carries a unique number (for example QALC-2026-XXXXXXXX). Anyone can use that number on quranicvocabulary.com to check whether the certificate is genuine.
General & Technical Questions
Is this platform free?
Yes. The Gift for 3 months subscription is given entirely free by the QALC Team. Register, verify your email, and you get three months of full access — flashcards, quizzes, dashboard, leaderboard, certificates and every other feature.
Which languages is it taught in?
The words are in Arabic — meanings are given side by side in both English and Bengali. Verification emails are sent in both English and Bengali. The platform was built with Bengali-speaking learners in mind.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. It works in the browser on any device — smartphone, tablet or computer. There is no app to install.
Why is my progress not being saved?
  • Keep your internet connection stable
  • Wait a few seconds after answering
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Make sure you are still logged in
